RPL Wines

RPL stands for Rob, Pettina and Lucy, the three people behind RPL wines.
 

ROB – is our winemaker, after 14 years in the mining industry as an underground surveyor, he decided to swap the mines for wines. He studied Wine Science at Charles Sturt University whilst working in Western Australia at the Porongurups and then at Cape Mentelle in Margaret River. We made the move east to the Yarra Valley in 2009 then a friend of ours told us about a vineyard that was up for auction at Locksley in the Strathbogie Ranges and we have been at “Bald Rock” ever since.

 

PETTINA – is a Nurse Practitioner working at the GV Hospital, and also for Great Ocean Road Health. She is chief vintage cook and washer woman who occasionally does some wire lifting, de-suckering and picking when required. Apparently she is in charge of marketing and sales due to the fact that she talks so much? Mostly she enjoys the fruits of our labour on warm summer evenings out on the deck or by the fire in winter.
 

LUCY – is a vintage child as she was born in April 2006 – she still laments the fact that we are always busy around her birthday. She goes to boarding school in Melbourne and reluctantly helps out in the vineyard on holidays when really bribed.
